It’s your big day. You want it to go right. I can’t do much about the catering, venue or the weather, but I can make the music. You tell me what you want to hear (and don’t want to hear!) and I’ll make it happen.
School dances and proms. Church socials. The tough thing is finding a DJ who will play appropriate music (i.e.: without all of the explicit lyrics) and still provide a good time. I’ve been doing these kind of gigs for years. Of course, you are perfectly welcome to submit your own playlists and I’ll incorporate them into the show.
Let’s assume that you have a party planned. You want to keep it lively. Perhaps you just want background music for a reception? A holiday party, like Halloween or Christmas? A large family get-together? A surprise birthday party? A full-on rave event? I’ve got you covered. If you just want to rent my equipment and run the music yourself, we can do that, too.
Having a company party? Need PA services? Motivational music for a seminar / rally? I have experience running sound for motivational events from one to three days of power tunes. The idea is to keep them going between speakers so that everyone gets the most out of the function and has a good time.
Okay. My setup isn’t THIS impressive. But I do have a full light show, along with non-toxic smoke machines. And if it’s a daytime party, or there are kids to be entertained, then the bubble machine comes out.
It would be great if you had a venue as pretty as this one. But your neighborhood park, swimming pool, backyard or a handy open field will do in a pinch. I’ve got a 7×5-foot screen and the video projector. You just need to provide the movie.
However, be advised: Unless you’re showing your own original content, you can’t just pull a DVD out of your collection and pop it in the player. If it’s a public event, or one you’re charging admission for, you need to get the proper licensing and permission. I recommend Swank for the proper permissions. I’ll help you set that up, if you need it.
So you’ve got the party all set – but how do you get people excited about going? You could just ask (beg?) them to show up, or you can take advantage of my other career as a graphic artist and let me create some posters for you. These can be printed and passed out or posted on bulletin boards; or they can be posted to social media such as Facebook and Instagram.
Okay, the nitty-gritty. How much is this going to cost? That’s the beautiful thing.
$100 per hour, $200 minimum.
No charge for setup / takedown time.
For that, you get the DJ setup, the lights and special effects, the movie screen. What I bring depends on what you need for the event.

A few restrictions:
- I work the San Antonio / Bexar County area. Any further out than that is going to cost you a travel fee, depending on how far away I have to travel.
- If it is a private event at a private facility (such as a home), there’s no need for music licensing. However, venues (dance halls, etc.) must be licensed. (Most already are.)
- During holiday times (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) my schedule fills up fast. So I will ask for a $50 non-refundable deposit in order to hold the date. This will be applied to the fee.
